CHAPTER 50

Hi, this was supposed to be yesterday's chapter but due to my tiredness I really could not write. But anyways this was how yesterday went.

I woke up early so could help my elder take his bags down stairs as he was relocating back to ilorin, after that I went back upstairs to sleep. I later then woke up and was playing with my phone, at about 7:50am my younger sister came out of her room and told me she needs to make a call to a lady who was supposed to give her a job. I lend her my phone to make the call and apparently the interview for the job was by 8:30pm, this was 7:55am already and she hasn't taken her bath nor did breakfast.

I, her and my mom was contemplating if she should go or not since she's a bit time limited but after much reason when agreed that she should go. So she quickly changed her clothes and left with her credentials as required, by 8:00 she was out of the house. Mom later left leaving just me and my cousin at home who soon is gonna leave.

By 10:30am my cousin left and I was home alone. Neye was supposed to come around so we go collect back her phone but when I called she wasn't around, she was sent on an errand.

My mind flashed to my younger sister as to why she wasn't back, twas 11:30am. I'd called her number two hours back but it seems to be switched off, so I called my mom to ask if she was at the shop already but mom said no and so I told mom to call her number or the lady's number who which she got the call from. The both of there number were switched off, we could not help but to think the worst.

My mind wasn't with me anymore because this is unlike her to switch off her phone, I couldn't stop blaming myself for letting her leave the house even when I heard this voice inside of me to tell her not to. Mom called and said I should quickly come to the shop so we figure out what to do and how to start looking for her, she's missing or perhaps kidnapped --- that was our assumption.

Mom was really scared and then started to cry and pray, I didn't know what to do or where to go. There's was no particular location to where she was going to, nor a actual name of the person she called, all the information we had was that she was asked to come to Egbeda by one lady B who she got her number from on a wall along Orisunbare road.

Where do we start from, who do we call? At this point I swear down i never thought I would have been shocked, this is my younger sister the only sister I have, gone missing. Off course we can't go to the police station because it wasn't up to 24hours so all we did was to keep calling people upon people mostly pastors to pray for her, wherever she is.

I kept trying her number and that of the lady B but they both where still switched off. I called my girlfriend and Neye to tell em about what has happened In case they have any idea what we should do or go but still it was like nothing was said.

We went on like this assuming the worst and then I called my elder brother to tell him about it if he could call the network provider so they can trace the lady B's number. After a few minutes he called back and said her number was going through and so I quickly called her but she wasn't picking. This at least brought my mind down a bit, but after trying for a while her number went back to being switched off, my mind flew back to a 100 degree.

Mom quickly said to go call a friend of hers hopefully she'll be of help, I went there and delivered the message but instead the woman put more fuel to the fire. She started giving examples of people who have been kidnapped, killed or molested through such scenario. But I still kept trying her number and then she picked ---oh you need to see the way I spoke over the phone, i was already on FBI mode---I was like, “faith!,  where are you? Start coming home now!!!” 

I told mom she had picked her call and so how assumption is not entirely true but my moms friend keep saying that's how they do, that they'll let you pick the call then follow you to your house and take everything you have, my mom went up again. I was already getting weary of the whole thing but was a bit calm since have heard her voice. I later called her again and she said she was already coming but still this woman keeps making the fire burn more.

I was already telling mom to calm down but apparently her friend's words was getting through her more than mine. After like 20mins my elder brother called and said she was on her way, that she's at Dokpemu, when mom had she was at Dokepmu she rolled on the floor and scream, “Eww, my daughter ooo, Dokpemu! Ha!(crying)” I was like it's ok she's already on her way, another of her friend was telling her it was ok, she's  gonna come back safely.

I went home to wait for her In case she comes back and called neye on my way home so I'll have someone around to keep me calm. Immediately I got home I took my bath and went out the corridor to wait for her, i stood there for 10mins before Neye came though I was expecting my sister first.

We went in and she told me to calm down though I was a bit angry at her for some reasons but had to let it go because my sister was my first priority. After a few minutes my sister called and said she was heading straight up to moms shop, i told her to call me immediately she gets there. After a while she called saying she's at moms shop, i then called mom to confirm and she said she has seen her.

Finally my mind was free and so I could now breath well. After some couple of hours she came back and told us how she went, apparently twas a seminar and they were all asked to switch off there phone.

I have to say that's BS, this GLNT should be placed on ban. I mean how do you tell people you have an interview with them then give them a certain location and when they get there you tell em to take another bus going to somewhere else without letting em know at first, then you still lie about the nature of the job and when you now finally get there they ask you to switch off your phone. At that point you cant be traced if something was to go wrong because there's no exact location of where you went to or what you went for. This people could practically kidnap this job searchers and nobody will be able to make a trace.

Well it's all cool and thank God she came back safely. This basically was yesterday for me, was sad, crazy and confusing. I never knew I could panic that much. But thanks to God our assumption wasn't the reality. I've gat to go and do some other stuffs.

Ll : “lots of things were learnt yesterday but most of em can't be expressed by words, so I'll just basically say, trust your instincts instead of your assumption, try not to panic too much, you'll never know how strong you are until you conquer some strong also and GLND is BS and should be placed on ban, period”
